Burnley have a 100% win record at the new Wembley.

If City have really got £10m for Nasri and aren't paying any of his wages, they've done a very good deal.
Talented but what a cunt.

They won the corners too - 14 they had

I have no idea if we won the passing in the second half, just know the intensity of play, and the pressure placed on Chelsea, despite a couple of close chances for them, meant we were the team most likely, until we weren't.
There's a difference between do or die cup games, return to champions league and the bread and butter of your league campaign. Until we win a run of games at wembley, the story will still have legs, even if we win "home" games at wembley, the story will still keep repeating like frazzles, we lost a game we could have won and it had nothing to do with the stadium.. -

I refer you to my answer to @andyp our record there isn't the greatest, but apart from last years champions league and europa league errors, we hadn't been back there since 2012, then before then 2010, 2009 and 2008. (Last ten games below)
For a team going through managers, and players at a rate of knots, I'd say its remarkable we got to wembley as often as we did...Lost to Chelsea 2-4, April 2017
Draw with Gent 2-2, February 2017
Beat CSKA Moscow 3-1, December 2016
Lost to Bayer Leverkusen 0-1, November 2016
Lost to Monaco 1-2, September 2016
Lost to Chelsea 0-2, March 2015
Lost to Chelsea 1-5, April 2012
Lost to Portsmouth 0-2, April 2010
Lost to Man United 0-0 (1-4 on pens), March 2009
Beat Chelsea 2-1, February 2008

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/aug/21/leicester-condemn-fans-homophobic-chanting-brighton
With this and their xenophobia in Madrid last year, Leicester fans are doing well at making themselves one of the least likeable clubs in the PL.

• #137584
But at least their management are acknowledging, apologising and owning it. How often do Brighton get homophobic abuse and no-one says a thing?

fair enough dude. guess you have just got to think of it as a story. Rather than Fact.

• #137586
That's a good point.

Not a surprise. Worst ground in league football. Fuck that place.

Was thinking about tonights game and how Sigurdsson though expensive would be a good signing for Everton. I've changed my mind, I think he's an expensive and un-necessary player.
Sigurdsson doesn't offer anything Ross Barkley doesn't other than perhaps a better free kick taker. Strikes me as a bit of a highlights and Fantasy Football player rather than someone who will take Everton to the next level.
Man City paid £45m for Bernado Silva, Juventus bought Matuidi for £18m, AC Milan bought Kessie for £18m, Monaco bought Tielemans for £20m, Dortmund bought Dahoud for £13m. They aren't all exact copies of Sigurdsson but would all offer Everton something more.
The argument of who is worth more between Coutinho and Sigurdsson is a silly one. Coutinho is a much better player and much more valuable but his price is purely based on Barcelona's desperation.

And Liverpool's desperation to keep.
-
• #137590
They're desperate for the same reason. If Barca pay them £130m for Coutinho then every other club will increase prices for Liverpool as they know they need to sign someone.
Liverpool clearly wanted to sign Keita (why wouldn't you) and that might have allowed them to sell Coutinho but without that, there is no way.

Sig is on the bench due to lack of fitness. I see Barkley as more of a ball player dribbler where as sig can hit a great shot and dead ball but won't ever dribble past someone. Not very similar imo.
I fancy everton to get something tonight. Sane and ottamendi are there to be got at down the left and Wayne has scored plenty of goals at the ethiad and a bit of special stick should fire him up. Waiting/Hoping to see edison flap at a something and then watch his confidence drain away.

I think it's the opposition more than spurs with those neutral swish changing rooms. Playing at the wembley is going to be on every players bucket list and many don't achieve it in successful careers. Every spurs home match there is like a cup final for visiting fans now even after putting the giant cockrels up.
I've seen York City smash two wins there in 8 days but only defeats with spurs. Hopefully spurs can catch up soon.
