What other names are we going to annoy the hell out of people with. Bobby Jungles is there, who else?
-
• #53
I enjoyed Sea Arnold, but he's not starting.
Marcel Kittens is a given.
-
• #54
Jungle Bobby init.
-
• #55
I still enjoy Tommy Windmills.
Even though I'd guess Dutch folk would just see it as we do Miller.
-
• #56
Miller would be the dull Dutch 'Mulder'. The name Dumoulin does have a ring of 'savoir faire' or eh... je ne sais quoi... Tommy (of the) Windmill(s) sounds like a cool nick to me
Will Wout Poels be Froome's new Landa? Does Sky have a stand-in for Kwiatkowski to fix all possible problemos in this Vuelta?
-
• #57
Hope not.

Just watched the highlights. Quickstep diamond a number on them!
The end montage showed them stopping for a train?
-

The end montage showed them stopping for a train?
yes but it didn't alter the course of the race like in the women's Tour of Norway where the bridge opened to ruin the chances of the breakaway
Mountains, already, today!

Why is there so little chat?
I watched both the highlights shows last night, obviously a TTT and a long flat stage without a breakaway aren't the most exciting, but LFGSS I am disappoint.

GT attention hierarchy still is a bit like this I guess:
TdF

Giro

Lots of people on holiday, plus a weekend?
Great team work once again from Quick Step yesterday. I love how they almost always use a numerical superiority to their advantage.
-
• #63
The BBC have done a handy inrng style guide like they did for the Tour.
-

I fell asleep watching TTT Saturday night after a BBQ, then snoozed my way through the stage yesterday. Not saying it is dull, just that I was sleepy
-
• #65
I fell asleep watching TTT Saturday night after a BBQ,
Same. Oops.

De Gendt conveniently managed to lose 10 mins yesterday so expect to see him in the break today. And tomorrow. Etc etc.
I'm usually a little bit over stage racing by this point in the season and it's up to the Vuelta to come and grab me.

Desperate for that Super Combativity prize.
-
• #68
+1 for falling asleep during yesterday's stage. Will be better today, straight into mountains.
-
• #69
broadcast from the start of today's stage, too. nice.
-
• #70
Did anyone manage to figure out what led to the front flip during the team tt? I think it was lotto soudal?
-
• #71
That flip was brutal and the guy behind took a big hit as well!
I'd love to fall asleep today watching it. My boss wont be to happy though.

Lotto NL Jumbo, Tolhoek. Seen no analysis, but something jammed his front wheel. Could have been a loose brake block on an aero brake behind the fork? That's always concerned me about that setup.
-
• #73
Did anyone else think that Gary Imlach's closing line and playing out with 'Everyone knows it's windy' showed all that is great about the ITV coverage? Best finish since 'On a ragga tip' the first time.

Burst water main at the office means I have a bonus day off. Time to watch some mountains.

Winner of today's Armchair DS prize!
That's my main man Jeff Soup.
