I've got an 89 Formula Race, its 501 throughout.
Its only within the past few years I've realised I've mistreated it pretty badly re; resprays/maintenance. Sorry.
My question is, are, when I sort it out over the summer should I build it up as stock (Sachs Maillard stuff) or best available then? did this frame ever compete or be a team frame to have 'Best' on? for inspo?
I was gonna just Sachs it, amazingly (to me) I've found everything on eBay just never bought it, cos it was never great to begin with, but theres an appeal there.
Tldr; 1989 Formula Race 501, period accuracy or 'best'.
