On fixed.
There's nothing steep on the BCM; I didn't have to walk any of it.
The only bit that catches some people out is the start of the King's YH drive; the trick is to cycle past it, turn a bit further up the road and then use the speed from the downhill to get you up the majority of the first ramp.

I don't understand?

Anything on fixed is daft though really.

Especially this forum

And if it's dark and no-one can see, walk the last bit.....

Sadly is was light both times I was in Dolgellau.

Did the Chiltern Dash 200 to keep my RRtY going after not finishing LEL. Brilliant ride, first half in the wind but working efficiently with nice groups; 2nd half was then basically a tailwind all the way. Brilliant weather too, and nice route. My first audax fixed as well :)

Well that hurt a bit. Barhatch was one hill too many today.
Only one other mad fool on fixed I think, we finished at the same time, but he started a few minutes after.
That brings up my 20eligible AAA points for SFW too. -

Was it you I passed going up Coldharbour?
-
• #6611
Green bike?
-
• #6612
And the extraordinary hand made mudguard?
-
• #6613
Plural.
I have a front one too. -
• #6614
Yeah, that was a harder day out than I thought it would be... Never really struggled with Barhatch before, but suffered today
-
• #6616
It was on the flat section in coldharbour - I bossed the climb up!
I think.
-
• #6617
Was it you I met briefly at the start? I didn't think it was a very fixed-friendly route!
I DNF'd after 65km with knee issues.
-
• #6618
Not fixed friendly at all really!
I can't remember who I spoke to, so possibly. I'm so sorry.

Riding across Wales and back in one go, what could possibly be considered daft about that.
It was one of the worst experiences of my life for a few hours. I don't know why I'm doing it again. I am though. I'm sure you'll smash it out.

Black, green and yellow. In LFGSS skinsuit.

• #6621
I don't recall, but if I was on a green fixed with a pink chain, and the extraordinary handmade mudguard then yes.
Did we speak? -
• #6622
Definitely not you.
-
• #6623
Ditto, must have been the other guy I spoke to

Looking forward at springtime, how hard is Valley of the Rocks 200, if anyone has ridden it?
-

Daughters birthday party has been moved one week further forward, so can ride this now. Just paid fee.
I was going to have a couple of week break before GMC, but Rowlands RAAAmble starts too close to home to say no.
You loose.
