• I like building and/or restoring lots of different types of bike so when I picked up a nice Genesis IO frame the single speed mountainbike project was born!

I'll list full specs tomorrow, but here's a couple of pics. I do think it's quite a looker...

  • Very impressed,

  • A bit more information.

Everything is brand new except the frame and forks.

    Genesis IO steel frame (small)
On-One rigid steel mountain bike forks
    Clarks M2 hydraulic brakes
    Charge Spoon saddle
    Truvativ chain-set
    FSA headset
Generic carbon seat post and bars
    Rockbros pedals
    A2Z single-speed conversion

I took the stickers off the 26" wheels when I first bought them, and now cannot remember what they are! I got them in a Chain Reaction sale for about £100, down from £180 if I remember correctly, but there is no info on the hubs or rims. If anyone knows what they are please let me know. 🙂

Rides very smoothly, although took me quite a while to stop the pads rubbing the disks, but that's why I love building bikes; this was my first disc brake build and you always learn something.

Need to work it out precisely, but it cost around £280 to £300 to put together.

    Vimes
