could someone remember a website that one could put mobile numbers into that then proceeded to bombard said mobile phone with as many spam messages as the web could throw at it
it was a way to block a mobile if it had been stolen and render the number unusable by the thief -

HDD crapped out, but it's from my rather old (2009, eep!) desktop. I don't game so I have no particular need for bleeding edge performance but feel this is probably a good opportunity for a bit of an upgrade. Does anyone have any second hand bits?
@chrisbmx116 I've seen your GPU, noted.

Having just looked at the shit selection of curved mice on Amazon I'll try asking this here
Any recommendations for a mouse that can be used with right or left hand. Really just needs a scroll wheel and right/left tilt on the scrollwheel or buttons. Needs to be wireless but not super accurate (I don't use it for gaming or design or whatever). -

Is it something you're going to be using all day so needs to be comfy, decent build quality etc. Or is it more occasional?
-

An hour or two a day at most.

I have a spare Microsoft mouse. Their fancy but normal looking one. Yours for a few quid.

Cheers but I ended up getting another Logitech one

Any thoughts on this? Ssd only and non IPS screen but seems like a decent spec otherwise

Ok if you really want a laptop with a video card. Pricey if that is just a bonus

I've got a big late 2013 iMac at the moment but I'm moving around a lot so its a drag, that thing actually outspecs it a lot I think.
The most demanding thing I'm doing is learning fusion 360 though which it should be OK for no?

Balls just lost a whole post.
I jeed a new desktop. Dont play games. Want it to be fast. For internet. Films. Normal use. Dont know what to get for £500-700 (box only) preferably lower end.
What should i prioritise?
Amd vs intel?
High processor vs 16gb ram?
Smallish ssd drive plus 1Tb drive?Thinking of eg
Zoostorm - https://m.shop.bt.com/category/computing,desktops-and-monitors,desktop-pcs/11101?q=Zoostorm
Or overclockers something or
Random something-

Any thoughts or advice on what to prioritise much appreciated i assume for me graphics card less important..? Because no games?

Go i3, GTX 1050, 128 SSD, 1 or 2 TB HDD, basic 16GB ram, job done. Easy sub 500 quid build.

I'd mainly agree with the above
Processor like this for £100 https://www.scan.co.uk/products/intel-core-i3-7100-s-1151-kaby-lake-dual-core-4-thread-39ghz-3mb-cache-1100mhz-gpu-51w-cpu-box
16GB RAM
Personally I'd get a 240GB SSD, you're generally paying about 50% more for double the size and you can run short of space.I wouldn't bother with a graphics card if you're not playing games or graphics work. Onboard graphics on that i3 can cope with 4k video playback, it's unlikely you'd need more.

Yeah to be fair I'm doing proper work on a small MacBook with no egpu and a U class CPU.

I've promised my son I'd help research best options for him to buy a gaming laptop. Since I know next to nothing on the subject, I hope you'll be kind enough to help.
He's 13 and been working hard (running a bike repair business!) to save up.
From our initial trip to the shops at the weekend, advice seems to be to aim for an i7 and a dedicated graphics card. He's fallen for the looks of the HP Omen
Would that be a good'un? What could he get for a similar budget that would be better?
That's really stretching his budget though, so should he be looking second-hand/refurbished - in which case where is reliable?

HP Omen are not bad - decent reviews for a complete machine. Also, depending on which model, i may be able to get you a discount...
What's the budget?
