By old English you mean Saxon?
Wulf is dead common in Saxon histories so you need to check nearby street names for a theme. If former monastery land look for previous Abbotts, saints or bishops. Otherwise you could be looking for Ealdorman of an area of Wessex/Mercia associated with that part of London. -
I passed a road called "Wulfstan Street"
And did you see Henchman Street or Erconwald st? All part of a 30s estate in East Acton built for railway workers
And the streets are all named after London bishops
Strangely in some ways it was one of the most interesting tags I've got. I never go to Acton or Shepherds Bush so it was interesting to see what was out there.
I passed a road called "Wulfstan Street" which is suggestive of something Old English, I'm going to look it up anyway.
