It's properly brilliant for riding round here. Smooth tarmac, barely any cars and regular massive 10ft signs telling them to give you 1.5m of room to pass, which they all obey. Most give a little toot when they want to overtake and flash their blinkers when you wave them by. It's almost as though there's a mutual respect amongst people, regardless of their choice of transport.
Not too many bikes either and they're all happy to shout encouragement as they fly down past you going up.
We're staying at a friend's place in Montejaque, but I reckon Grazalema or Ubrique would be optimum for post ride cafes and bars, our village is a bit small.
The only downside is a maximum elevation of about 1200m, so it's not quite the Alps, but the 37 degree midday sun today made up for it.
Why not just get a pinion gearbox?
