Radials just arrived. They're heavy!

edit: just gone voll Spastisch & managed to twat myself in face with them turning them over to read the packaging. They are made well.

Anybody weighed a set of Radial? What are the stays made of? Saw a hipster using them this morning, looked pretty ordinary & plasticky - and black

They look great. Do they rattle at all?

Ordered on the 11th and arrived today, look good, solid if a little heavy.

Front does just a bit when I take my weight off it. Rear is rock solid

What frame/tyres are you running on these? I've a CAAD9, 25mm tyres with Campag Athena brakes and trying to find full length guards that will do the job. Cheers

Mine arrived today. Not confident with the packaging (bubble wrap and a binbag). Haven't had time to look inside.

Radials. Heavier than SKS chromoplastics (5-600g iirc)?

Or does "heavy" just mean heavier than raceblades and the like?

I already asked, someone will put them on their scales eventually and put us out of hour mystery.

I'm a known weenie, will weight when they arrive.

I have 580g for the 37mm

510g for the 30mm clip ons

Includes all attachments and the teency bit of packaging they come with

Aren't cromoplastics about 500g?

Yep ballpark same as chromoplastics

Charge Juicer with 23mm tyres. 25s might be a bit tight with the 30mm guards

Radials have arrived! Finally!

Any tips for fitting or is it all pretty straightforward?

Have gotten started and think I may need to trim the stays on mine, have some cable cutters but worried about it blunting them.. is using a hacksaw a better option?

I had to use a hacksaw on mine, it was the only annoying bit of getting them on. Apart from the inevitable perfectionism of alignment.

Another reason to buy a Dremel :)

I use snips to cut stays, but they are echt deutsche. Bolt cutters would also do the job.
Oh yah: eye protection!
