  • This and the whole timing of it is horrendous. For balance, however, in pop culture and mainstream media, Trump has been 'shot', crosshairs have been depicted over his head on front pages, 'verified' Twitter folks, along with many, many average-Joe Twitter users, make remarks about his assassination on a regular basis, an effigy of his severed head has been held...

They kinda incite violence and violence is what anti-Trump folks profess to be against.

Has anyone here linked to these occurrences? Furthermore, has anyone here condemned these occurrences? Genuine question.

  • Public figures always get a lot of hate. This doesn't make it right. And I'm not on the cesspit that is Twitter cos WTF is wrong with people, so much nastiness.

But abstract public hate VS a group of people that's on your doorstep with torches and weapons and ready to get violent isn't quite the same.

And those people also want to change laws as a bonus, so even the non violent ones can have a bit of a far reach.

If Trump ended up with a group of protestors on the lawn of the Whitehorse, knowing full well some of these are literally ready to get violent against him and his family, and for this he gets just normal police protection for protests instead of a special guard, and he can't escape it either, then perhaps the comparison is somewhat "like for like".
