While a dynamo is nice an audax season incl. LEL can be done with a battery light.
Although it can be done, a Dynamo light is brilliant even in the daytime through dark country lane which are plentiful in the UK, what nice is not having to only turn them on when you need them, instead of wanting them on.
Dynamo is always worth it.
Need advice. Need a wheelset for my Equilibrium.
First option was to go full bongo, Dynamo hub, Hope rear, the new Open Pro UST disc rims. Around about £450 all in - though the new Shimano RS505 CL Disc road hub could knock £100 off that.
Then I've seen wheels like the Prime Peloton Disc which seemingly offer pretty much everything you could want, apart from a Dynamo for 1/3 or 1/2 of the price of the other options.
The tart in me wants the handbuilts, but if I go for the Primes I could have the bike on the road a month earlier. At the moment I'm leaning towards handbuilts with the cheaper hub - can someone justify this/tell me i'm being silly?
