• Those brakes are great, alu forks can be a bit rigid/harsh but bigger tyres should take the edge off and you could always upgrade to carbons or steel in the future.

  • it would probably be easier to just buy a whole new set of brakes (calipers and leaver) and then keep/flog the drop bar set up

    MTB discs have been around so long now you could pick up a set of SLXs or something for not a lot of cash

  • Easy, just make sure you get "flat bar" levers rather than MTB V Brake levers, else the cable pull is off and your brakes won't work very well.

  • Makes no sense to buy and switch to risers. Just buy a different bike. (Unless you take the brakes straight off and sell, probably get £150 a pair on ere?
