Glorious commute in this morning. No one about, cool breeze through Burgess park, and I managed to catch the green wave the entire way from St Georges Circus to Fleet St.

Scaring the pedestrians today...

I ring my cycle bell repeatedly to give them time, but to no avail.
Then I have to brake as I can't get past...
...and nothing like a canti to get a beautiful loud SQAAEAEEEEEEEEAALLLLLLLLL!!!

Which results in people finally moving, but today one literally jumped.

I managed to a catch every red light from Mile through old St to soho. Even stopped for a minute hoping it would break the cycle.

Yes. Manslaughter should be the charge, let the courts decide the sentence.

As far as the expressions are concerned, it's 'causing death by dangerous driving', of course, which already removes the perpetrator from the action by 'interposing' the dangerous driving as a means ('by') and making it quite unclear prima facie what the relation between cause and effect is. 'Manslaughter' is clear--someone has slaughtered someone (and slaughter is a powerful word).
