Anyone know what hubs the old Wiggle Cosine wheels are?
Basically need to replace the NDS rear bearing as mine is fucked. Anyone got a ballpark guess at what it might be?
-
• #6378
Rear hub looks very similar to Novatec F482SB

amazing, danké
-
• #6380
Might not be though! No substitute for tapping the offending bearing out and measuring it.

I have a 32h rear wheel with a worn alloy rim and I happen to have a spare 24h 50mm carbon rim.
16 spokes laced to DS, and 8 spokes laced to NDS - Will I die? -
• #6384
Nope, will be awesome. 3 cross DS, radial NDS with the NDS spokes entering the rim between each pair of DS spokes. Just make sure the metal on the NDS hub flange isn't too knackered to deal with the stress of radial lacing.

Spokes length for da 7600 double sided fixed to tb14 3x -

Assuming 32h, https://leonard.io/edd/ says 294mm, 290mm for 36h.
Seriously, this link should be pinned somewhere -
• #6388
Yes both 32h, Sorry forgot to mention that

Thoughts on budget tubular disc rims? I'm not all that powerful and they're for cross, so stiffness and aerodynamics are quite low on the wishlist.
Will the Mavic Reflex cut it?
-
• #6390
Kinlin TB20 would be a better option

• #6391
Just about to build some rim brake reflex tubs for my sscx rig. Seems like a good cheap option!

does anyone know whats the erd on the new Mavic Open Pro UST rims?
and relatedly, I've got a hub and spokes bought for a Hed Belgium rim (erd of 592). For reasons of carelessness I can no longer use that rim. Can I use a rim with an erd of 596 (such as a Kinlin XR22T) with the same hubs and spokes, if I use 16mm nipples instead of 12mm? Spokes and nipples are DT swiss if that makes a difference.

It's on the cycle clinic web site. The rest of your question was answered on the previous page, but the TL;DR of it is "buy new spokes", round ones are not expensive.
-
• #6394
I would advise new spokes, 4mm is too much of a mismatch in ERD to use the same spokes. If you have forked out mega £££ for CX rays or something though, perhaps try find another rim with an ERD +-1mm of the belgiums
-
• #6395
yes, the new mavic open pro is 1mm off, seems close enough

Anybody seen @broken_777 lately?
