Thanks sacredhart.
I've found an old set of wheels that will do the job so including those too.

Have a bump, great initiative. Cancer sucks. Bikes don't, though! I'm not in the UK so a bit far to go for a beater but someone should take you up on this.

These frames are indestructible. Japanese-made double butted Tange chromoly steel.
Great cause, GLWS.

I really can't understand why no-one hasn't snapped this up?! If I were in touching distance of this I'd happily take it on - good luck with everything, it's a fine cause.

Somebody really should buy this.

All yours if you want it @bikes_knob

Ha, I would but I already have the same bike (pearl, pink, and purple original?). Might be worth mentioning the frame size/measurements btw.

Good point, schoolboy error on my part.
n+1? One originaly for high days and holidays and a manky one for when it doesn't matter?

bump thoroughly tempted although sadly I just emptied the bike fund! For anyone wanting some inspiration

@velohobbit If you would like it, take it now and just make the donation via the just giving link when you can.
I'm not after any cash for me, to keep it open and above board I prefer it all to go direct via my just giving link.

Great cause Tad, your bikes too small and too far away and really a bike too many for me anyway but been on and dropped off a small donation. Have a nearly free bump, hopefully a few others will get involved.

Thanks Captn, it's greatly appreciated.

I've found a Deore XT front mech in excavating the man cave, you'd be welcome to that too.

No one want it?

Have a bump.

Exactly what I want but just can't see how I could find the time to get down to collect it...
-
• #22
Would like this. Wife would kill me. Donated anyway. Good to hear you are doing better now.

@chrisbmx116 Thank you so much Chris, it's very generous of you and greatly appreciated.
@Timmy2wheels I'm around days and evenings, weekdays and weekends, happy to wander up to the station with it if you want. If you really can't make it down and really want it I can see if the LBS will give me a box if you'll cover the shipping cost.

No one?
Hello folks.
Still clearing out the cave. Today's offer is a 19" 1988 Specialized Stumpjumper, it may not look like it from the pics, but it is. It's been badly rattle canned and has had so many component swaps over the years. It was most recently used as my bad frost/snow hack hence the spiked tyres.
Basically you get everything in the pics excluding the wheels & tyres. Everything works, it's not tidy but it does the job.
EDIT: Now with wheels, I've found a set of shimano something hubs on Mavic something else rims. Hubs will need a strip and regrease but basicaly OK. They even have tubes and tubes that hold air.
Some "higlights"
Frame is 19" measuring: seat tube c/c 50cm, top tube 57cm c/c
Sele San Marco titanium rail saddle
Headset - top race is a Koga Miyata (roller bearing I think) bottom is Shimano Deore XT
Bottom bracket (cup & cone) & MT60 Shimano Deore DX cranks with Biopace rings
Canti front and U-brake rear
Shimano Deore XT brake levers
Shifters are Deore 6 speed SIS but at they can be switched to friction you can use them non indexed to any speeds you want, I used to run 8 speed.
So here's the deal. You collect the bike (Horsham, West Sussex, happy to meet you at the station) then you make a donation (you decide how much for) to the charity that has helped me via the just giving link here:
https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Tad-Kowal
Long story short, I had cancer, it was seriously crap, the Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre helped make it easier. Now I'm a lot better I'm raising some money for them to carry on helping other people.
Full details of my story are in one of my other charity threads here:

I've moved on my old fixed gear bike and 3 frames, the good folks of LFGSS have always been generous. So time to move on something else that I no longer have a use for.
Cheers,
Tad
