  • I've been having a film renaissance over the last 6 months, shit me it's an expensive hobby. Back in the day I somehow held down a part time job at Jessops (before they went out of business... the first time!) where I got free film and prints and processing. I have a huge box of negs and prints in the loft that needs archiving properly.

Anyway - great to see the love for the Olympus Trip here, I own one - it was my first 'real' camera (I had a very shitty Kodak Ektralite 110 camera which I don't think counts, though probably has some credible hipster value today...) I've since liberated my Dad's Nikkormat FT2 - the camera I used for photography A-Level and have started messing about with that again.

I'm planning to get a couple of rolls shot on that processed this week, usually I've used Metro - but as I'm working near Marble Arch at the moment does anyone have any recommendations for processing places this side of Tottenham Court Rd? I went into West End Cameras earlier, but they aren't equipped to process E6.

Finally - thought I'd share some of my recent shots from my Olympus Trip - these were from my trip to NZ earlier this year - love that camera!

  • Tried sending to filmdev ? Sadly they don't help you for E6, but £5 for C41 develop and a medium sized scan works out reasonably well. Use a cheap film like Kodak Colour Plus and you can get costs down to £9 for film+develop+scan (inc P&P). Probably the cheapest you do it outside of processing yourself ?

    +1.

It will be expensive if you use Metro for processing. I've used these guys a couple of times now for E6 (mail order), and have been happy.
