  • Did you register with them? I did and purportedly they pay out if the lock 'fails'. I'm sure they have loads of stipulations on that offer though...

  • Hi there,

We've had a hire bike stolen from the Rapha Store in Soho this afternoon. It is a size Large Canyon Aeroad, the same as the one in the photo with a distinctive pink paint job on the inside of the fork. The only two differences are that it is Ultegra Di2 not Dura-Ace, and has a set of shallow Mavic R-Sys wheels fitted.

  • My turn now..... Trek Madone 4.5 flat bar conversion stolen in Charing X opposite The Harp pub last night, about 7pm from under my nose.

Black/Red/White, with Tioga 40mm riser bars, Tiagra 10sp thumbies, 105 brakes, Ultegra long cage rear mech, Tiagra cranks with 46/36 black Stronglight rings, Flite Ti saddle. Has a repair to the BB shell underneath which is pretty distinctive.

Pretty gutted about it, so if anyone sees anything.......no chance I know, but fingers crossed. Ta.

  • Blue small pompetamine.
    Mudguards
    Spyre brakes
    Vision discs on Dt swiss

    Herne hill sainos.
    Today.
    Fucked off.

  • Hi guys,

My bike was stolen in Bermondsey last Friday night.

I know it's a long shot but if anyone sees it around please let me know!

I've attached the last picture I have of it (ignore all the stuff I was carrying that day)

    Cheers!

  • Had a break in and lost loads of stuff, not actually too bothered as I had to clear the place and they kind of did me a favour taking the bikes but still very annoying. They also nicked a load of snap on tools which i'm really pissed off about.

Anyways. Trek 1000 in the early 2000's USPS colours, frame only

Cannondale in raw aluminium with a big dent in the downtube, had rockshox tora forks and nukeproof generator wheels, rear hub was extremely loud, very distinctive.

Purple Giant steel road frame from the 90's, all campagnolo components, no wheels

Olmo super corsa, aluminium frame in yellow/blue, seatpost snapped off in the frame, had full 8speed campy groupset. Will defo get stripped, the frame was scrap.

  • Found an abandoned clearly stolen Pinnacle on the way to work in Whitechapel today. Wasn't really sure what to do- couldn't take it home or with me. Call 101 and report it?

Anyway, PM me with the description if you've lost one and I can tell you where it is.

  • £750 reward now offered.
BICYCLE STOLEN from the City of London 07/08/2017 at 14:05. The bike is a custom build of parts and there isn’t one like it for sale at the moment. Please share around as much as you can, look out on the usual eBay, gumtree and let me and the police know. Bicycle details are,

    Size:56cm Large
City of London Police Crime # CR/47881/7
    City of London Police: 0207 601 2222

  • Was this stolen from the hooks by the front door? Always worry when leaving my bike there,

  • The bike is extremely unique

    Is it?

Best of luck finding it though

  • You probably shouldn't post the frame number online. Knowing that is one of the ways to prove it's yours, rather than a similar "unique" bike if recovered. It might be broken down to parts anyway, in which case your build won't exist any more.

  • Fageyyaboudit will cut in 18 mins, tried this with a friend, our disc wasn't the sharpest so guessing it could be done quicker, our grinder was the plug in type but this shouldn't make much difference, basically no lock will stop yr bike been nicked especially with cutting tools becoming better and more mobile (almost designed by bike thieves) plus the fact that most if not all bike thieves don't have any fear of been caught, they'll just nick some more to pay the stupid fines they get,

  • could watch that all day!

  • So much

  • All,

Haven't posted here for a while but was an active fixed gear and single speed bicycle builder for years. My No.22 Titanium Great Divide was stolen from 24 Ashwin Street Dalston today between 14:00 and 18:30. Please do let me know if you see it. I built it myself, all the parts are unique and it has keyed wheel nuts, seat post and stem cap.

  • Sorry to hear that, Paul. Was it stolen from inside the building or from Ashwin Street itself? Many thefts have been reported there over the years (from the street, I mean).

You might want to remove the frame number from your post, as a thief might search for that and see your alert, making them more careful in selling it on. That said, it's unusual, so searching for the make and model would probably do the trick here. Good luck getting it back.

(Also, you have, in fact, posted here before: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/10228397/ :) )

  • The frame has aluminium cup inserts on the frame crank area which are 100% unique, apart from the one my Boss owns which has this modification to fix the faulty bb shells specialized used ;) . Either way i hope that your bike is recovered. I have recovered 2 bikes stolen from me intact (separate occasions, both times being ridden by chavs) so dont give up. All the best.

  • My beloved Stevens X8C Pro Cross was stolen yesterday, 11/08/2017 at 6:30pm.
It was locked on the corner of Distillery Lane & Fulham Palace Rd (close to the Imperial Dragon Restaurant), W6 9PL.

I'm very attached to the bike as I've had it for over 10 years and offer a reward of 500GBP.

    Additional details:

    • XT equipped
    • Brake discs
    • Deore XT Shimano
    • Racing Ralph tires
    • Sticker from bike dealer: Düll Holzgerlingen
    • extremely light weight

There are next to no Stevens bikes in London, so please get in touch immediately if you see one in black with the above description. Any help is very much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Sonya
