We're talking Kidsgrove. Nearest hotel options look about 5 miles away and pricey. There's proper camping at Mow Cop which might be an option but I would still be carrying stuff and have to walk back into Kidsgrove so might aswell bivvy by the race start.
Going to see if I can lift share but most runners are getting coach from Disley (finish), another place I can't get to on train early enough.

^ No YMCA or such like you can stay in so you don't have to carry so much? (You can still do your business in the woods if you want... 😀).
