222 out of 239 years according to this:
http://www.globalresearch.ca/america-has-been-at-war-93-of-the-time-222-out-of-239-years-since-1776/5565946
So, 21 years not at war with someone.
Not sure about the UK.
Marvellous, isn't it? -

21 years not at war with someone.
When was that? What happened?

What's the consensus of trump suportters about North Korea?? Are they wanting an aggressive approach?
-
• #3410
I think maybe they would now. Initially when he was elected I don't think they would have wanted it as they expected a protectionist, non interventionist approach.
-

This is what is strange he was elected on wanting to pull America away from forign intervention and conflict to work on Americas problems, but they do love a good war to keep the military spending justified.

The 222 years thing is very much open to interpretation. If the US were known to use military personnel abroad in a year, that was deemed as being at war in that research.
If I am going to be really pedantic, war is a legal status and the US have only technically been at war a handful of times.
Edit: The only formally declared US wars were 1812, Spanish-American, Mexican-American, WWI, and WWII.

Isn't there something about the Whitehouse Oval office carpet changing during war/peace times?
It has def been the 'war' one in recent times and many other times post WWII.

In was going to claim West Wing but faintly recal reading Deception Point many moons ago.
Oh well, I rather liked the premise that it changed in times of war. Given how the world works now I shall hang onto it and continue to believe it despite evidence to the contrary.

From memory they were both "Police actions".

Congress never declared war for those two. I'm being pedantic...

seems to be a glaring lack of Bush War 1 and Bush War 2...no lack of shock and awe about that though

Is this what it felt like to be one of the "not racist cunts" in the early 1940s?
