There is a huge beer festival taking place in Wellington this weekend, sadly I'm am not attending.

Did attend Behemoth's "road to beervana" event yesterday, partnered up with McClures pickles. Tried their "Michelada"... a lazily measured mix of 'Hopped up on Pils', spicy pickle juice and tomato juice. Got a lot of pickle and spice (the latter being very unusual for NZ), needed a more pronounced beer though. Will consider a DIY version next time we finish a jar of gherkins.

What could be more important?

Hit up CW Barrel House, Pie&Ale, and Smithfield Blackjack Tap today. All good. Some weird Cider Whisky Barrel aged ale at Smithfield was odd but good. Mango Sour at CW went unfinished but the NE & NW DIPA's were good.

Nothing, felt like it was a bit pricey when we've only been to a handful of bars here so far. Figured we'd save money and have plans to visit a couple of breweries when we head to the south island instead...
