Not that I've seen, torque wise it'll be no worse than high gear mashers in general, and if ran ss it's only a compressional load affecting that area. I'd have thought? I'm guessing it creased on the dimple and failed there. I'd just get Winston to fillet on new ones, there's no concern about undercutting at the weld on the BB or drop outs so can throw as much heat as you want at it...
Why tig though? Just lop it off and get Winston to braze on a pair of new chainstays?
