  • I've purchased an old Olympus trip to have some fun with. Have gone through 3 colour films that were branded as lomogrophy film (picked up at a store closing for £1) without spectacular results and one filme of B7W with some nice photos and a lot of blurry crap ones. Can anyone give me/ point me the direction of some tips for getting better photos from it?

  • How do the negs look? It's possible for the selenium cells to die, depending on how it's been stored i think.

In terms of blurriness - shutter speed is either 1/40 or 1/200, 1/40 will blur with movement/shake but it's just about ok if you're expecting it. Or use fast film and good light to always get 1/200. If it's out of focus more light also helps, the aperture will automatically stop down to give more focal range. If you're not used to guessing distance err on the near side.

Lots of photos online showing low light stuff at 1/40, but I've never had much luck with it. I prefer using it in good light. Check for light leaks too if you're getting ghosts.
