Yeah not sure , also asked them if I could use my own headset at the bottom and they said no, which might mean some weird kind of permanent. crown race ? Decided I liked my teeth where they are , there are other 1" options about for not a lot more. Would be interested to see one up close though ..

Are they any noisier than the more rubbery standard ones?

been using on my mtb so hard to say. dont think they are more noisey tbh

on my mtb my old jockeys were so dead (pictured^^) they were super noisey even without the clutch activated. unsure about on a road bike. may test out

My $10 orient express jockey wheels were loud for about 40km, then wore into place. Then bad thing about them is that the manufacturing tolerances aren't particularly tight. One the bearing was tight, the other was a bit loose, the bearing hole wasn't perfectly centred in the wheel, and worst of all the bearing caps rubbed on the wheel, so I ended up with a fine alloy grit in the bearing which needed washing out fairly regularly.

Had these just over a month now. Not bad for £2.40!
