Wow, blinked and missed! Really nice bike.
First time I've seen an Ofmega chainset like that on another bike - have one for sale, pedal thread on the drive-side needs tapping but otherwise nice. Any interest?
For sale is an 80's Aquila steel road bike in light green. The bike is set up for gearing of 1x6 (48t x 13-18) and the fact that there's only one gear shifter boss shows that the gear set-up on the bike is probably the original one (it does look like it would take a 7 speed block on the back though). The presence of the above gearing combined with the original spec Campag pista type headset leads me to believe the bike was set up for time trial use- the aggressive geometry and responsive ride back this up IMO. A tad too aggressive for my taste these days (and no longer doing TTs), hence why I'm selling.
Seat tube measures 54cm centre to top, top tube 54cm c-to-c. Dropout spacing is 126mm.
There are a few tiny chips on the frame from it being locked up, before I got it :( These have been carefully touched up and they're very hard to spot. It's in all round good condition, straight and fine, and there is no rust or dents on the frame. Decals are pretty poor and will probably need replacing.
Told it's Columbus Aelle but cannot confirm it. But it's definitely one quality light tubeset or another, as the frame/parts package feels like a sub 23lbs one. Dropouts are Campag for both sets. Wheels are Alf Webb built/badged- a pretty trick wheelset.
Headset: Campagnolo Record Pista- quality steel headset, easily the best part on the bike
BB: Campagnolo (don't know the model but it's a light cassette type with alloy cups)
Hubs: Campagnolo, again not sure of model
Rims: Ambrosio 19 Extra Elite- built up/labelled by Alf Webb, quality wheel builder.
Crankset: Ofmega, not sure of model but it's an all alloy design
Pedals: Meral
Seatpost: Shimano 600 aero
Saddle: BLB not period correct, but has definite retro styling
Brake levers: Shimano 600
Brake calipers: Weinmann 500
Rear derailleur: Shimano 600
Gear levers: Suntour Power Shift retrofriction- can probably handle 7 speed
Stem: Cinelli 1A 110mm
Handlebars: Fiamme Dallas- non common bars, 41cm width
Tyres: Continental Ultra Sport 23c
Chain: Sedis
Freewheel: Suntour New Winner
All round a really nice piece of Italian 80's steel with quite a mix of components but all good quality and nearly all period correct or thereabouts. I've fully serviced the bike and everything's set up properly. All parts show minimum wear, looks like the bike has had very little use from new (probably has solely been used at TT events). Although they do show some scuffs here and their. I've had it out for long rides and its a pleasure and gets a lot of attention.

I'll make a forum donation if it sells here, otherwise off to evilbay:)
