I jumped the gun a bit on posting this up as it's been semi on-hold for Birdbrain following it's original appearance last week in the Wanted thread. He's moving onto something fancy sounding and titanium though, so this is now fully available.

Hey there. You wouldn't by any chance be interested in an exchange/part-exchange for a track f&f? Seriously in love with this bike! T

Just go to 13 bikes man! What could go wrong?

The dark paint scheme seems to act as a black hole for photographic light on this, hence the really quite crap pictures, but this shot from the Chesini website gives you a better idea of the profile of the tubing (if you look at the lighter section in the middle of the top tube, which is then flanked by darker sections to the top and bottom, it might give you a sense of what I'm on about)

...And in the first pic in this thread you can just about see the Chesini logo and the words 'Speciale' and 'Chesini' above and below it. This is all indented/engraved, pantograph style.

That is SO nice.

Shame about the red bits tbh, can they be removed?

Thanks!
I'm pretty certain the red bits are part of the paint job.

Ahhh I would so mount it I with an all black groupset!!

That was the plan. In fact, I have a little-used black Campag 10-speed Veloce gruppo to sell as well. I could throw that in for an extra £100 if anyone wanted.

And NB, the paint scheme on my (and soon to be YOUR!) Chesini is a little different to the one posted from the Chesini website above. The paint is a little more matte, less satin.

It's never a good sign when you see a frame and you immediately start thinking about ways to build it.
Someone buy it, ok?

Frankly, I've been doing a crap job of selling this frame. Here are some clearer pictures.

SOLD! Forum donation made.
I bought this from Comtat directly from ebay on a bit of an over-excited whim for (what I think...) was a bargain price last year. But it's sat languishing unbuilt in my spare room ever since, which is not cool, so I'm selling it as part of my long term attempt to slim down the bike and parts collection.
It's a current Chesini model, see here for the latest iteration. It was used at Comtat as a display frame, so it's never been built up and is, basically, in new and unused condition.
Top tube and seat tube are both 55cm c-c, head tube is 17cm. Made from fillet-brazed Columbus Spirit, with some cool custom-drawn tubing for the downtube which has an unusual octagonal cross section. There's some nice panto work to the seat stays and head tube. Fork is a Columbus minimal, uncut, painted by Chesini. Headset included.
Yours for £600 (which is what I paid for it), ideally picked up from Crystal Palace/Gipsy Hill, donation included in price.
