Looks like this light from Compass https://www.compasscycle.com/shop/components/lights/compass-taillight/

Just seen this on a facebook discussion, and the race orgs clarified that leaving luggage at the bottom of a climb is most definitely illegal and subject to time penalties.

It's very much against the spirit of the race and the don't be a dick rule.

Can you see the text on his front tyre wall? #bemoremike

agreed - can't understand why some folk thought that would be okay, given the emphasis on that sort of thing in the pre-race talk.

People always try to bend the rules. Some are just like that.

Fair play getting that far fixed.

There have been two fixed finishers.
Stephane did it 2 years ago fixed. And I believe Ivan did it 2 years ago also, but I'm probebrly wrong and someone I'll correct that.

I can't even begin to comprehend how people do it fixed. To be honest I have a hard time comprehending how people do it geared. Much Chapeau all round.

Ivan did trans Atlantic way. Which has 25% gradients. He's an animal.

Samuli 26km to go, has secured 10th, what a good ride. Dalgas stopped for 11 hrs now with his mechanical. Wonder if it will force him to retire, looks serious damage. Team 252 Modan have scratched after early routing issues ruined their race, and it has perked them up.

Nah just take a few days to find a wheel and finish.
No racer scratches if they can sort it. Just takes a bit longer. A finish is a finish, time doesn't matter. -

Good to know. Looks like Ian To will be in today. Aside from the storm in a teacup he's rode a strong race and at times was in top 5, shame it all fell apart a bit for him, but I bet he'll be glad to be finished.

Steel seems a pretty logical choice as probably the most easily fixable of the main bike materials. A guy last year had his fork separate at the crown and got it welded.

Samuli approaching the start of the final parcours.

His tracker is bouncing at the finish. He's done!
I'm expecting some rants from hippy about his recent routing. Seems he's one of the very few taking the short cut between the A2 and R1204 to avoid Kumanovo. My guess is that those won't be the nicest surface roads.

How was LEL?
Sufficiently hard, and humbling. TCR might have been too much :)
ah thanks! Checking it out now (and congratulations) : )
