  • Thanks very much! Bike looks fantastic

  • Beautifully executed 👌👌👌

  • Whole bike looks great, but the way you mounted the mudguard here is inspired!

  • This bike keeps getting better and betterer.

  • Can we get a detail shot of the rear flap/mudguard stay junction please.

  • @Heldring Just need to ride to China now, right?

@MisterMikkel Thanks! I think I could replace (or just remove) the silver serrated brake washer and neaten it up a bit.

  • new forks are great success

  • Typically, none of those came out in focus. Can see it a bit better in this one. It zip-ties onto the stays. Will get better photo later

  • and so comf

  • This is fantastic! Top work, you've definitely got me scouring eBay for steel mtb frames...

  • I have a hidden p-clip with about 3 spacers at the BB on my Genesis Vagabond (Why U no drill BB-bridge Genesis?) this is plenty neat :D
Having somebody turn a conical washer in black delrin or something would probably get you somewhere around peak neatness though.

  • What happens when someone wins at bike?

  • better

  • Flappin' heck thats a bit long isn't it?

    (I'm sorry)

  • also for neatness could you not punch 2 holes in them inline with the Alan bolts on the guards and use that to attach them under the guard support?

  • Yeah, and I suspect they'd hold their shape better also, but it was pretty much midnight and I thought I'd try the official method

  • Bike looks great! Really like how tidy the mudguards look. Is that the uni of east anglia in the background?

  • 'tis indeed. Brutalist jewel of the East and all that

  • kinda jealous of the brutalist stuff tbh, no such things in Switzerland :(

  • It's an amazing environment to work in - bit sad when people call it ugly. Having a world-class gallery on campus is pretty great too.

Is Switzerland legitimately all alpine cabins and castles then?

  • How exactly do these flaps attach?

Is it just a trim down (from the top) and then loop over the guard stays with cable ties, which in turn go through the flap its self?

I'm looking at getting some of the narrower ones for my winter project, but cant see any exact fitting/trimming/compatibility instructions on SJS or the Fahrer website.

Cracking bike btw, this is my favorite iteration to date.

  • There are a couple of holes each side in the back, that you can loop the cable tie through differently depending on your stays. This should explain it better than I could
