SPD unlock too easy

hi all

a guy that serviced my bike sprayed lubricant from underneath into my spds. :(
ok after cleaning the pedals and cleats I tried new cleats (same), now my shoes broke and its even more easy to unlock with the new shoes. So is something wrong with the pedals?

You can tighten or loosen the mechanism. There is a little screw with + & -
