• I don't know, my suspicion would be that they'd offer practically nothing for a 21 year old car on 180,000 miles - they'd not sell it, other than to punt it to an auction.

I could always chuck it on eBay to finish Sunday evening and kick it off at £0.99 I guess.

  • I know there's specialists for Focuses that deal in modified cars (http://www.st-focus.com/ for example) and occasionally have other hot hatches. Don't know if there's anything similar for Volvos -bit of a long shot, I guess.

It can't be worth getting rid of it at the prices you've been offered? If you sorn it, and adjust your insurance way down, would that come close to the price of storing it (outside London somewhere?)

  • Rebrand it as a 'fully restored' car and take the mileage off.

It basically is - right? Rebuilt engine, restored interior and exterior, new brakes etc. Once something's restored the mileage is irrelevant.
