Awesome. I'd never have sold mine if it fit me better. Such good frames
-
• #5
just too good. i saw this or a brother around Regents a week ago.
If it was a 56 i think i'd get horny. -
• #7
I'll leave it a while yet before I start dibsing split bits :)
-
• #8
This is a huge fucking bargain.
-
• #9
Times like these, I wish I had 1100 quid. Awesome bike.
-
• #10
Okay, dibs. Will PM when I'm out of work
-
• #11
Excellent!
-
• #12
Damn, wanted that SI Red crankset haha
-
• #13
Seriously tempted. What a bargain.
-
• #16
Weren't they heavy?
-
• #17
Definitely not heavy. I seem to remember reading the frame being around 1100g. Lighter than nearly any alloy frame and some carbon ones too
-
• #18
... but didn't it have a reputation for being ... stable?
-
• #19
I don't know what you're getting at
-
• #20
Solid. Uninspiring. One end one thing; another end, pretty much the same.
-
• #21
I'm being a pig. It's GREAT and like it you get extras.
-
• #22
It's a bicycle, what sort of inspiration do you want?
I'm not sure where you've been reading or hearing, the system six is considered by many to be the best frame Cannondale had ever made, at least for it's time. That is its reputation as far as I am aware. -
• #23
It's got a join in it.
-
• #24
Almost every frame has multiple joins in...
-
• #25
that's quite technical.
(lots more photos here )
If you're looking at this you probbaly know all about the frame - It was the last model Cannondale hand made in their Bedford, Pennsylvania factory before moving production overseas. Half massively oversized carbon, half super stiff smooth welded lightweight Alu.
I bought this originally off @Dammit as a frame and fork and built it up myself with care. Its been used, but not a vast amount (only 2000km), but always very well maintained, almost perfect condition, no 'worming' corrosion like you get on some of these frames.
I loved riding it, so responsive and comfortable. I'm only selling because I haven't used it for a year, and Its a complete waste to have such a nice bike doing nothing.
I'm including a load of spares and extra parts for whoever buys it too. Please see below:
