everyone starts with mountain biking and then they get wise ..
Anyway, is it me or does £200m sound a bit 'small' ?
-
• #29203
Depends what denomination.
It's gonna be a lot of £1 coins.

It's you. That's a lot.
More than Vulpine sold for I think.
I'm pretty sure I called this sale a month or two back when they started banging out the 25-30% discounts. If I could work the search function I'd find it and prove my cleverness.

It's you.
True. I was measuring it against tech start ups ..

• #29206
With Brexit it's around US $50,000

More than Vulpine sold for I think.
You'd hope so!

That's what eight Emmy awards does for you.

Interesting, although they should have spoken to John-boy too.
Rapha could clean up getting MTbers to dress properly.

Pro-Team baggy PJ's, a pink visor for every helmet, white stripe on the dropper post.

"Rapha is a popular brand among serious amateur riders, and hopes to see a further increase in demand after Chris Froome, the Team Sky rider, won his fourth Tour de France last month."
What?! He's even wearing Castelli in the photo.
-
• #29212
I think it's the knock-on effect on sales of things like that - they're not suggesting that Sky are still wearing Waffa.

Dropped off a pair of grand tour shoes for buckle replacement, 12 weeks later and finally they've admitted they lost them. Sent an insulated jacket in for repair from a fall, hole on one panel in the sleeve and they just got back to me saying that it's irreparable and here's a 40% off code. Feeling quite frustrated with the whole experience!

That's what happens when brummies try their hand at CS
-
• #29215
Whats the code?
-
• #29216
What was the response regarding the shoes? I know someone who had a hardshell jacket lost; the response was to give them a new replacement and a gift voucher for the inconvenience (I think for something like 50% of the value of the jacket). Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how you deal with them that makes for good customer service - if the new owners start cutting this then that starts making Rapha gear no longer any kind of good value.

Needs to be done

What do you have?

"Rapha could clean up getting MTbers to dress properly."
This. If Rapha start offering minimalist, trendy DH pants, baggy shorts, gloves, jerseys and rain jackets they'll clean up! There's pretty much nothing in the mountain bike clothing game that doesn't make you look like a Power Ranger save for maybe POC and ION...
Definitely an opening there! -

It was a voucher for the value of the shoes.

The TLD XC stuff is pretty good to be fair.
A lot of people ride trails in pretty agricultural stuff because it gets such a battering it's not worth spending on hi-tech but spendy gear.

Looks at pilgrims way.

Surely Kitsbow have the understated high quality mtb kit market covered?
-
• #29224
Kitsbow have a fairly good looking MTB kit going - minimalist design and expensive!
-
• #29225
Kitsbow women's selection is pathetic. They have one jersey which looks like a road jersey, and one MTB short. Some of the Dakine and Raceface stuff is okay, but I think there's room for high quality women's MTB gear (which fits well and looks okay). At least some other options besides TLD and Fox would be nice.
Clearly on trend. This is part of the Rapha Cycle to Work Scheme 2014 collection?
