  • Yeah, gutted he's not staying TBH but our midfield is so packed at the mo, it will be good for him if he can play every game week in, week out. He's got some left peg on him

  • Top of the league

  • Burnley v Hanover 96 friendly has been called off after the German ultras started throwing seats into the Burnley end and trying to "take" it.

Imagine it will be lively in Burnley tonight.

  • Boilerroom thinks it's Liverpool's to lose

  • How was Dowell?

Millwall were robbed from what I heard

  • Green going for miss of the season on the opening day. Don't know wtf he is but btw Steve Bruce's diet regime didn't last long

  • i do wish dominic solanke would stop scoring
we haven't had the tribunal yet and his value is set to sky rocket if he continues playing as well as he is
we may have to pay somewhere in the region of £5mn for this very talented future england striker

  • Are they good?

  • Well they were undefeated against (and beat) Bayern last season. Although Liverpool just beat them in pre-season so I'm sure you'll be fine...

  • Coutinho all done €120m

  • The hit-rate of your predictions thus far has been pretty poor.

  • I'm personally more surprised by how the neymar transfer for 228m euro's is the end of football, yet the £100 odd million Everton have splashed out so far, and the £50m they're going to launch over to Swansea for Siggurdson (who I love, and wish had got more time at Spurs, but he's not and never will be a £50m player), gets not a mention as aiding in the killing of football..

  • He scores the occasional FK mate...

  • will he even sniff a free kick, with Rooney in the team? £50m for dummy runs off a free kick routine, doesn't seem the best way to invest that new cash.

  • Everton this transfer window:
    Spent £83.31m
    Received £90.35m

How is that the end of football?

Both Manchester clubs are spending way beyond what they're selling players for.

  • Agreed, I like Sigurdsson but he is no way a £50m player and I would rather spend that £50m on a world class striker or £30ish and the other £20m on a CB or RB

Far too many options in CM when Sigurdsson signs

  • you're not getting a world class striker for £50m? Not if Lukaku's gone for £90m+, Morata went for £58m, and Lacazette for £47m
You'll get experience, maybe an international, but not top of the line, top 10 striking talent.

  • I'd like us to take a punt on Batshuayi - would be around £35/40m

  • A year ago the press were saying £50m was all that was between Man U and Harry Kane. It's bananas, we've no idea the value of anything now.

  • @Pistanator you heard any nose tappings about Lookman to Derby?

Saw some rumours surface at the weekend and didn't think there was much of a chance, but the rumours are getting a bit stronger. I thought he'd be a good option for the squad with all the Europa games this season.

  • God I hope its only a loan if true.

  • Van Djik deal done

  • Someone needs sectioning

  • Spurs getting worried about Everton now :)

  • Burnley had their match called off at half time at the weekend due to the Hannover fans kicking off.

The club have offered full refunds on the tickets and, for any refunds not taken up, the rest of the gate cash will be donated to charity.
