The next task to handle is cranks. Want something very HHSB, but would also go for something like a pair of omniums. Anyone got any for sale, or could anyone recommend some cranks?

75DD.
Was that you on @umop3pisdn insta story? -
• #6
I must admit, the Pistard Airs do look quite nice - don't know if they're slave enough though. At the moment, the options are FSA Pro Carbons, Omniums, and Sug75s. Open to more, though.

• #7
Haha I saw that too.
@ShutUpBlud Turkish is right though. 75DDs are the one.
-
• #8
Insta story? Also, yeah, I think S75s or 75DDs are gonna be the ones for this build.

Yeah he had a picture of someone with the 4 spoke on their back in traffic the other day. Must have been you
-
• #10
Might have been me. Both my bikes have 4 spokes, so that's likely

Wow, would you look at that, another fixie-skidding hipster building up a fancy Cinelli. How inventive and exciting!
Tell me more, I got the most generic Histo ever.
What Bolt did you get? -

Latest one - Bolt 2.0. Unimaginative, I know.

Okay, so I'm thinking of using a Zipp Service Course stem and seatpost for this build. Yea or nay?
-
• #17
Service course SL yay
Service course nay -
• #18
Fair enough. Why not service course? Genuine question because I've never been one for fancy finishing kits - I just think "Does my stem hold my bars in place? Is it the right length? Yes. Okay, it's fine".
Is it just a case of Service Course not being slave enough?

Cinelli Mash Bolt HHSB
-
• #20
Yup, fair enough. I figured it was an issue of not being slave enough. I'm buying on trade, anyway, so Service Course SL shouldn't be a bad price.

Would Thomson Elite also be a good choice? I've only stayed away from them because everyone and their mums has Thomson, and I'm trying my hardest to be a special little snowflake

Chinese carbon seatpost, pro vibe 7 stem with decals removed
-
• #23
I've never seen that Pro stem before - looks pretty sweet actually. I work for Evans and it doesn't look like we stock them anymore - hopefully I can custom order in something like that if it turns out to be what I want. Also, I completely forgot about Chinese carbon. Way to go?
I don't have much experience of those Chinese carbon bits and bobs. Might take a look at the Chinese carbon thread.

Anyone selling some slave bits? Need bar, stem, seatpost, saddle. If not, I'll just buy on trade from Evans. (Bar-wise, I'm looking for bullhorns or risers)
Also, what's the verdict on a rear wheel? Disc, or should I not be riding a tub on the road?
-

Tubs can be annoying on the road, especially if you're going to be skidding, although for HHSB logic isn't exactly the primary driver
I know - "Wow, would you look at that, another fixie-skidding hipster building up a fancy Cinelli. How inventive and exciting!" You will sarcastically think to yourself.
Believe me, I know - it's not new, it's a bit samey, but I'm going to have a crack at building my new Cinelli Mash into a sweet HHSB street whip. I know it will probably end up like one of those run-of-the-mill Instagram pr0n crit bikes - but that's the point of this thread. Hopefully, the forum can help me to avoid that.
