I don't know, given his tyre problems he might find a tyre-making course more useful, including how to harvest and process rubber and pressure-mould it into tyres. Basic stuff, really, and easy to do out on the road, but clearly not something he's mastered.
Quite surprised to read he's relying on valve extenders TBH, for such an "out-there" event. I can understand you'd want to have a deep section front (I remade my front dynohub rim/wheel for PBP to suit this) for aerodynamics, but valve extenders are a PITA, so best to use less than 50mm deep.

Yes, it's an obvious point of potential (actual) failure.
His rear looks like 50mm, but his front is deeper. One of those things where the quest for marginal gain bites one on the arse
