I don't know about that hippy. He seems to run into one problem after another. I wonder if he's ever considered cycle training.

Shall we chip in and get him a Cytech home mechanic course as a reward for finishing?

I don't know, given his tyre problems he might find a tyre-making course more useful, including how to harvest and process rubber and pressure-mould it into tyres. Basic stuff, really, and easy to do out on the road, but clearly not something he's mastered.

let's all chip in and get him a Zwift that's locked to only do Monte Grappa hill repeats

Want to buy hippy some Sean Sako7 socks so he doesn't get cankles again like in TABR, or if he does then at least they are stylish cankles. #EC1thread #canklegate

<Asked myself what Mike would do, he'd smash it all night. So that's what I'll (try) to do, to honour him and his @transconrace. #tcrno5cap75

Maybe he'll finally switch to tubeless

I doubt twitter would survive that.

Riding through is best thing for skinny to do
Reduced amount of riding necessary in the heat tomorrow
No point in finishing when you're still fresh
Best bit too give Bjorn any opportunity
At this stage, you really crave completion, just want to get the thing finished. It will still be a tough 400 km

It was his attitude at the checkpoint that got my back up tbh, just reminded me of some of the more entitled senior managers at work.
I've not seen that, don't know how he comes across in real life / video

It also means that he is feeling good. He could have taken a three hour nap and gone on knowing that Bijorn would have had to ride through and wouldn't have been as fresh. But riding on shows strength. Announcing it to Bijorn is a psychological sledge hammer blow. "I'm feeling strong and am going to win" Bijorn may well take some sleep as a consequence.
Most of all though it is classy. To ride this way out of respect for Mike and the race he created. Bloody marvellous.
Go hippy.
Hold out tyre, hold out.
