• I was about to reply with a list of the meat snacks I take then read your vegetarian bit... for any reasonable length tour, though, I would focus on saving some places that look good for buying lunches etc. on maps then picking stuff up as you go along.

  • Yeah, I figured that might be best, those Holland and Barrett oat bars are almost 500 cals each so a few of them for emergencies and get on with it. Might bring own coffee, just to be cool.

  • Coffee and an aeropress for the morning is a must for me.
    Otherwise I would just buy on route. A few emergency gels are good too.

  • I'm veggie and when I rode with Ben I just had naked bars and coconut macaroons. We stopped at pubs and cafes for lunch and dinner though, apart from Achill island where I just inhaled a pack of rolls and happy pear hummous.
