  • I was not aware of that, ill have to check if that defines 'spend in a foreign country using the card' as withdrawal but if not then I wouldn't worry about it. Most of my usage would be in Sweden (almost fully cashless already) and this month in Finland. I try to avoid using cash as much as possible these days.

  • It's only ATM withdrawal.

    I use the Halifax card for all card purchases but tend to use a fair bit of cash as well (the US is a fair bit behind with cards) which is why I noticed it.

  • For what is meant to be a first world country, the US is positively archaic in that regard.
