Sorry to hear this. Gotta be proud of 1000km in 3 days in this weather tho.

Nice gallery. Continental sponsored?
-

Yes, this apparently is the case... Help out for next few hours then. I am very sleep deprived and confused

The cheap walk on train with bike is the Grand Central Train from Thirsk tomorrow at 09:59h or 13:44h at £62.10.

@youramericanlover @Ruserius what @bsb said. A bit sad but it's only a bike ride and a nice one with that. Learnt loads of stuff, caught up with lots of people, saw many amazing things, went through all sorts of conditions.
Now I'll dissolve myself in a bath and have a beer, and see if I can give a hand at the arrivée tomorrow.

Also, the gabba should have been the obvious, only possible choice for this ride. But I got so many kudos for the Mondrian Look jersey that I don't regret anything :)

I've said I'll volunteer at the finish tomorrow, but not hard back from Danial.
Can I just rock up and help? Is that welcome or a hindrance?
-
• #511
je ne regrette rien
Great ride dude. No point destroying an ankle when you need it for so many future battles.
However, I suggest you dissolve yourself in beer and have a bath instead.

He is busy drinking champagne with the winners. No. When did you fill out the form?

Can I just rock up and help?
Yes. It'll almost certainly be welcome. There's always stuff that can be done.
-
• #514
No I haven't I booked you one from BISHOP AUCKLAND. CHECK YOUR WHATSAPP BEFORE LEAVING IN THE MORNING.
-
• #515
Err...last night year some time?
Thanks @Greenbank. Second q: where do I go?
-
• #516
Yes but Danial requested for a friend that he filled out the form before he could show up; probably insurance or something.
-
• #517
I barely even know what day it is...
-
• #518
I remember sitting bemused in the lunch area at Brampton before leaving on the way back. My head suggested it was Wednesday but the hand written sign under the wall clock still said Tuesday. As it turned out I was right for once.

I'm a registered volunteer, I just never got assigned a day or role for reasons

Davenant Foundation School in Loughton.
It's quite a walk from nearby tube stations (half an hour I think last time) so cycle or look up the buses (there are some that go quite close).
It'll be pretty obvious where to go in when you get there, just go in through the main school doors and say that you're here for your volunteering shift and they should find you something to do. I ended up in the kitchens overnight last time (washing up as I knew how to get the catering style dish washer working) and doing some food prep. After that shut down I ended up manning the bag drop bag returns.

Which i can't spell because slerp deprivation
This may be one of the greatest sentences I have ever read on this forum.

As @Greenbank says make your own travel plans, you can't miss it once you there. If you don't want to ride the whole way you can take any bike on the tube from Leyton.

Unlucky get well soon, better not to do long term damage, headwinds seem to have caused trouble this year.
See you are heading back to Dartford you are local to me, just in Bexleyheath
Poor @cgg, his ankle was going.
He said he stopped before ruining it, and in Thirsk since at least there are trains back to London.
Spirits seem to be up, "no drama"
