  • Bike has been ridden once, new Schwalbe Durano types put on last week (never been ridden) because I got a puncture on my first ride.

I basically got this under the ride work scheme but never used the bike.

Pretty good deal for a new bike as I'm told the frames on these are better than most off-the-shelf bikes.

Yours for £150 cash, as it's taking up space in the flat and I know nothing about bikes.

    (see poor photo)

    :)

  • Sounds suspect.

  • I know nothing about bikes.

You know something about money though. You're happy chucking 600 quid away?

  • lol, if you're not interested then no need to comment.

I just don't want the bike and I don't need to recoup what I paid, so I'm offering it at a realistic price because equally I don't care for bargaining.

    Take it as you like.

  • Thought this was a selling forum, not a place of opinion.

Genuinely thought a low price for a new bike would be welcomed, not ridiculed. If you like, I'd be open to an offer of £600 but a close friend who loves this forum said that's bonkers and no one would go for it.

    Bloody hell!

  • I'm commenting because like I said, it seems suspect. First post on here, no size or details?

  • Not sure if it has Claris or Sora components so didn't want to give the wrong info. I'm at work I plan on checking (then posting) when I'm home.

  • It's not a selling forum though and it certainly is a place of opinion.

  • .

  • Classifieds.... oookkaaaaay

  • He knows enough that it doesn't have stock tyres on it.....

If you got it through cycle to work then they'll be a ton of paper work to support his claim and you can easily block out personal information.

    If so, what a bargain.
If not, we will find you.....

  • Jesus Christ, never thought I'd be threatened after posting a bloody bargain bike.

Yes, the tyres have changed because the crappy tyres that came with it punctured on my first ride.

Yes, I have my original cycle-to-work documentation, and I even have a UK bank account, a passport, have been in full-time employ for 8 years, pay national insurance, and have been living here since birth. Wow.

No need to do a Liam Neeson, mate ;)

This thread is fantastic, I'm going to send it round to a few mates who'll have a right laugh.

  • is it wrong to say dibs pending paperwork?

  • who'll have a right laugh.

    at you, no doubt.

  • Your mates must be really fucking boring then.

  • Welcome to the Neighbourhood...

Also, what size is it? Asking for a friend.....

  • Alright Metal Gear Solid, no flies on you.

  • If you're serious then yes, feel free to visit the cycle tonight to see the paperwork with your own eyes, otherwise I'm not reserving it as it'll be gone by today.

  • Haha, yes mate, this is a lot of fun for a classifieds thread

  • i have pm'ed

  • .

  • Wait till he gets home.

  • I don't know the size or the spec because i'm at work. I will be home in about two hours, and I'll update this thread then. Are you interested or f-ing with me like ol' Metal Gear?
