  • Putin edition Lada Niva. I'll never convince the rest of the family we need this more than a regular estate.

  • If you're not getting the fam to take part in your morning Putin adoration ritual then you're not raising them right.

Fewer meals going forward until they're begging for that Niva.

  • Does this link work? Lovely little Alfa sud today
    edit, nope

  • That is the current plan, yes. Strength through discipline.

  • Have made it to Wolverhampton, 20 hours after phoning aa. This is incredibly dull. Got to stay in a hotel though. But it was shit.

  • Mmmm.

  • Mmmm. (alpina)

why are the wheels different left to right?

  • race carz innit

  • thoughts ?

The 230CE has been a massive hit with the wife and she has mentioned that since her mini finance runs out in Oct, she would be happy to have a 2 seater version of mine to run about it....

I could quite happily get into a car like this, as the appreciation if looked after well could be great. Even if its just maintained I could not see us losing anything ?

current spread is 40-150k !! the one above is £40k...the one below £155k

  • It looks fucking beautiful?!

  • Swear they were going for like 12k within the last 10 years

  • Glorious cars. They consistently rise in value year on year. I think they are quite complicated (read: expensive) to sort when they are rusty, so be wary.

  • And they're not especially fast, or comfy or nice to steer.

I like the 230, it's a bit unloved because it's the little engine, but the big engines still don't make it fast. I had a 1966 230 manual and every trip was an occasion, but it quickly became boring once I'd got over how pretty it looked.

  • i'd sell my house and live in it if i could,
    actually i could,
    just

  • Hmm, maybe i won't let her read this bit....she likes the 230CE as is glides over speed humps ands a cinch to drive. Its just to big for a town car.....the speed bit is not a problem as it'll not be used to long distances.

The other option was a newer SL (ha.... 1964 vs 1973):

    £15k...

  • JESUS AH.

  • Is there much space in them?

  • The cars I dislike the most.

Had the displeasure of riding in one of these in my teens, terrible on so many levels.

    And:

  • For sexy times? Just make sure you get one with the back seats.

  • Newer SLs are tanks (in a good way.) I really wanted to buy the Mrs a 560SL when we moved here. There are loads still wafting around but she wanted something newer. The US bumpers are vile though.

  • No sexy time - that's got me in enough trouble as it is.

I am talking about space for a six three, powerfully built athlete.

  • Dunno. I'm a five seven, weedily built occasional bike rider with a wobbly tum and it was ok for me.

Ask Jon @ http://www.avantgardecars.co.uk/ He's got to be at least 6'4 and is not a racing snake.

  • Quick phone pics of mine @Soul
