• Thanks mate. I have actually already been offered Sram S900 levers twice before your kind suggestion. I am sticking with TRP RRL because they have built in quick releases which will probably come in handy when conditions get muddy. I am using TRP CX8.4 and supposedly they lack mud clearance.

    I am adding up weights and prices in a spreadsheet. Overall aim is to have the lightest possible sscx at a budget.

    I am currently struggling to believe I am going to get under 7 kg. What can save me is that my estimates for frame and forks are wrong. But I still need to ad cables+housing, cog, chain, chainring, bolts, bartape and headset.

  • Yeah but I haven't so far. I am also not sure what the actual weight is of the kinesis forks. It is full carbon but it didn't seem that light. They are of to get painted with the frame so I can't weigh then just now.
    I have been offered a pair of Whiskey canti forks at £230, but I can't justify that with all other ongoing projects I have and as this is my "beater cx" it doesn't make sense.
