  • It's done the exact opposite for me. I seem to have left over spending cash at the end of my second month which is nice. It's the notifications that I'm finding really help.

  • It looks like I'm the odd one out, if this thread is anything to go by.
    It's never going to be a quick fix for lack of discipline though, needs to instigate a behavioural change and it didn't for me.
    Are people using it for online purchases as well as in-store?

  • I've actually got another card. I thought it's stupid to have 3 cards initially, but it's working out well. 1 is daily usage (groceries, eating out etc etc) one is travel (motorcycle, tube, flights if I've planned for it) and the normal debit card was sudden expenditures.
    Have barely used my debit card since. I've set up Monzo to warn me if I'm closing in on spending in certain areas I've budgeted in.
    For example turns out I spend a fucking silly amount on eating out, so I've taken a chunk out of that every month for 3 months. Working well.
