It was a trolly comment in a trolly thread. There are of course benefits to being in a club, but the in-group / out-group stuff is a turn off for me, and that feels like a lot of what we are dealing with here.
In terms of friendliness and sociability, when I post rides up on here I welcome all comers. Any gender, race, class, sexual preference, mode of attire and form of bicycle is welcome.
