I'll make a note of that for our next committee meeticing...

Are you proud to be affiliated with carefully chosen partners because you believe they are best in class?
-
• #1654
Yup

• #1655
It's a lifestyle choice, a way of being.
to be fair, you could just as easily be talking about this place.

Yeah but everyone here is a cunt and they will embrace that with open arms.

Can we get a few more angry EC1 members in here? They make it fun. Might help push this page up the google rankings, now onto the first page when searching "EC1 Collective". It's the new f0ffa.

I'm part of the squeezed-middle
The squeezed middle is a myth. Hope you're not an economist.
-
• #1667
I help run it, so I didn't. Also, it's £75 for a year's membership.
-
• #1668
What do I get as a member for £75 a year? Can anyone sign up?
-
• #1669
Nope, I work in advertising. So get my kicks from pushing false stereotypes.
-
• #1670
I'm interested; do you have any idea how you'll scale this?
At £75 a pop you'll not have enough money to employ people to deliver these money-can't-buy experiences. Are you relying on members to chip in and give up their free time? Might be challenging considering the demographic.

http://ec1collective.com/ec1/whats-included It's really for people who work within corporate industries who are into cycling. Thought you were already a member ;)

We plan to scale by speaking to companies about signing up to HR or employee well-being packages. http://ec1collective.com/p/bespoke-corporate-hospitality
But at the moment it's not run for profit and we don't pay ourselves or employ anyone. You have Mike and I running it and a group of 10 committee members who help organise rides and events.

Full access to our calendar of EC1 Expeditions
Can you give an example of an expedition? Is it free as part of membership? partially discounted? Can you explain the mechanics of the calendar?
£175 voucher to spend in the Le Col EC1 store.
Can I order this in any size and sell if I dont feel like wearing Le Col?
Torq Fitness nutrition pack + 30% discount on RRP
Can you tell me which pack exactly? And does the 30% discount apply on whole range of Torq products?
Organised discounts throughout the year
Can you give me an example of this?
It's really for people who work within corporate industries who are into cycling.
Can you explain the exclusivity a bit more? Looks like apart from the £75 'barrier' (as some may call it, but RCC is almost twice) there is a screening process to check if the potential member works in 'corporate industry' or not. I am more looking for a reason for exclusivity rather than the mechanism of it.

I can pay £4 to join my local cycling club, 'expeditions' are included, as in, weekly organised rides, races, time trials etc. I will also get a discount at the LBS and probably a few other nearby related shops. Apart from paying to have the privilege of wearing the EC1 kit I'm still not sure why I would pay 20 times more to join you rather than one of the many other cycling clubs out there.

We run one Expedition a month and they are listed here: http://ec1collective.com/event
The voucher is only for club kit, so doubt the resale of that would be worth it.
The Torq pack is made up of 1x energy bar, 1x energy chew, 1x energy drink powder and 1x energy gel. And yes the 30% discount of across the full Torq range for all future member orders.
We are still finalising the additional discounts but hope to include socks, shoes, insurance and helmet by the end of the year.
When you apply you supply a personal and work email, and we look at the work email to determine what industry you work in. This way we can make sure that people who come on the rides will at least have two things in common (bikes & work)
