    I'm not wedded to Keos, if other pedal/cleat systems would let me get enough lateral movement...

    Yes, you tend to wreck your cranks if the amount of pedal axle threaded into them is too short.

    Shimano do +4mm axles for some SPD-SL pedals, probably just Ultegra and DuraAce

    Standard SPDs set as far back as I can get them (I have had a fitting with Bike Whisperer). I need the float due to various surgeries and I tend to get heel rub marks instead.

    I don't do roadie cleats I'afraid so not sure I can help.

  • Where did you find them at a good price? I've got large feet and have been in the market for new shoes for quite some time!
