Cheers all. There's nothing in the fridge itself in the way of stagnant water but the drain hole is a possible, I'll have a poke around tonight.

You may need to get in there with a pipe cleaner. Although they sometimes have a cleaning tool built into then.

My fridge has a gutter inside at the back with a drain hole. That leads to a plastic reservoir which you can only access from the back. That slides out and can be cleaned.
