Nice, thanks!

Sorry, it's Tostee I think not Toast - I did think it was a funny name and nothing came back on the rider list for Toast but the only Karen is Tostee. Toast is her Instagram name. No. 228.
Seems to be going well, just SW of Innsbruck.

Could be a worry:

• #1231
Ran out of beer?
-
• #1232
I'm assuming he's finding Brenner Pass a tad shitty.

• #1233
This has probably been covered already, but I'm a dotwatching n00b as well, and I couldn't find the answers by searching.
What is the significance of the cars that show up on the tracker? I assume they're not support vehicles, so are they filming? Are there rules about what they can/cannot do, or just expectations?
-
• #1234
Noob here too. Race organisers travelling between controls?
-
• #1235
They're just general race-admin/organisers cars. No support, doing a bit of filming, staffing controls etc. They're probably there partly for sponsorship requirements (volvo?), but also made for good dot watching as Kristof almost beat them to one of the controls a few years back!
-
• #1236
That's simple enough. Thanks!
-
• #1237
Yeh was going to say, last year the cars were struggling to get to controls before Kristoff and his pace was forcing the organisers to change thier schedule of how they planned to man controls

I am sure that #12 Stephane Ouaja, has posted on here. He is doing well.
@Uber-Hero David Coulon #130 has adopted a familiar position to the rear of the field. In 2015 he was suffering from injury and ploughed on slowly and was the last finisher. He said at the time that he had plans for a return but sadly last year he scratched. Expecting great things from him this year.
Sad that Gareth Baines has scratched. He is one of the most entertaining riders. Not clear yet why he scratched but it seems that it might have been a loss of heart after the tragic accident.

The YouTube channel of The Transcontinental Race has some excellent videos. Worth subscribing.

I am sure that #12 Stephane Ouaja, has posted on here.
Yes, @Keiway#152. He's changed number this year.
-
• #1241
Bjorn is still in Italy, no?
-
• #1242
Well done Oliver. I have to say that Stephane is possibly the most charismatic rider in the race. The true spirit of the event. A rock star of endurance cycling. In a recent Instagram video (in French and beyond my schoolboy attempts at comprehension) he is wearing a Deliveroo cap. He is still a courier.

• #1243
Yes - CP2!
-
• #1244
He is fast though. :)
-
• #1245
Stephane is currently in 10th. With his experience, I think he should finish comfortably in the top 10.
James is very close to Bijorn despite having had far more sleep. This is going to get very exciting.

Skinny showing outside a bike shop south of CP2 while Bjorn heads northwards. I assume he's already passed through CP2, hopefully just something routine. Anybody heard anything?

Just checked and he doesn't seem to have passed through CP2 either, according to trackleaders...
-
• #1249
im guessing he needs something in that village before heading through the CP
-
• #1250
Yeah, hadn't been following closely this morning - looks like he intentionally followed the river south, and will head north again after what I can only assume is a bike related stop.
Edit: Aaand he's already back on the move :)
That's her. I enquired if she was interested in joining Lea Valley but Gary had already signed her up to Hub Velo. A powerful, steady rider.
