I need zero stack with pressfit cups right?
No.... I think it's campy integrated - it's the Integration in the System Integration, right?
-
• #8553
It is. I used the FSA cheap one. Its good.
-
• #8554
No idea. I figured there's no cups so it wouldn't just be a bearing sat on the crown.

Smooth rolling ACB Sealed Bearings - NHB (OD 41 x 45° x 45°)
Not sure those are the right angles. It's the same standard across the 5,6,7,8,9 frames so googling 'headset for CAAD [number]' will provide the proof.

45 x 45 in mine R700 caad7. Just checked.
So the lifeline should fit. I think. -

Nice! Does it enable sweet barspins?

Excellent. Top work guys

I don't think Lifeline carbon one will work . The frame needs an IS42 headset (bearing od=41.8mm) . That headset says it is IS41 (bearing od 41.2). A small difference I know but I think IS42 is the propriety Campag format that caad 5/6/7 frames use .
The non carbon lifeline version is actually listed as IS42 for some strange reason. I was wary of these lifeline ones for my Caad7 so ended up going for a Cane Creek 40, which is a really nice piece of kit, worth paying the extra for imo. Or the slightly cheaper FSA as mentioned above

But carbon :(

• #8561
Alternatively, where can one buy a carbon bearing cover?
-
• #8562
Buy lifeline carbon headset + have new frame made to fit !
Seriously though maybe just check with wiggle they've probably listed one of them incorrectly, or buy both lifeline headsets to check and/or mix and match then send the leftover parts back!

get over it, it makes fuck all difference.
if you're hard enough you'd run no dust cover anyway

I don't race, I don't care about difference. It looks cool, that's reason enough. I didn't run one on my bmc and in 6 months the headset was toast so I'll avoid that on this occasion ta

Still work on this beauty... Have problem on rear derailleur and right shifter, probably will upgrade with all groupset.

Got a spare caad mech hanger anyone? From a broken frame maybe?
Hate paying 20 quid for something so small and cheap -
• #8567
For the 7, guessing the models either side take the same
-
• #8568
I've got a CAAD9 one, slightly bent though...
-
• #8569
I'm after a straight one preferably. But thanks
-
• #8570
It will probably straighten up with an alignment tool to be fair

Putting the feelers out for a 58cm caad10 frameset if any of you lot are selling or upgrading and want to offload hmu. Have a 60cm caad9 to sell or swap also. https://www.pedalroom.com/bike/cannondale-caad9-28139

Does anyone run CAAD12 disc with clip on mudguards?
Can i fit 27s or am i stuck with 25s?
-
• #8574
I did already put a layback post on it and a Garbaruk ring.
Shreds nicely tho -

Not selling soon then? I have or will shortly have the other 2 from my wanted list haha
Is there a cheap and decent headset for my caad7? Wanted the wiggle lifeline carbon one but it's integrated and I need zero stack with pressfit cups right?
