@StevePeel same as @giles337 here, don't worry was just teasing, bung one in a future order if any left but no worries if not.

Heading up to Holt for a few days in August, anything I shouldn't miss?
Coffee-wise as well, just to keep it on-thread? -

Really though? I know there's sand dunes, and they're lovely, but there's sand dunes in Cornwall, also cliffs/rocky bits/big rivers/forests/moorland/an airport/almost tropical weather. Admittedly there's also grinding poverty, overt racism, almost universally terrible schools, soon to be even less money come 2019 when we walk off 'da cliff' and a fucking long commute to a business in Brighton - unless I leave an office here and open up a new one there. Which would be expensive and probably beyond my current business acumen. Unless I sell and go to Cornwall to start a heritage lettuce farm. So I get the 'not cornwall' point, but not sure I'm convinced by Norfolk yet. Also, Daniel Farke.

'almost tropical weather'

Weymouth doesn't have much going on coffee wise - best to head to Dorchester and go to Finca. They roast their own beans in store and make a very good coffee - one of my fave coffee shops. There's also Soulshine in Bridport if you're coming from the west.

Bridport - my best man comes from there. Always makes me think of Dorset Knobs.

Don't worry about me either thanks. In the next order is fine.
Also, what ratio would you brew the Wahana at in a v60 out of interest? It's coming out lovely as cold brew but can't get it right when hot. Currently I use about 19 grams to 350ml.

Ta. In Weymouth now been offline tho. Will see if we can get to Finca Dorchester for some beans on way back once littlun tires of the beach trampolines...
(Coffee#1 here was better than Sidmouth btw)

^ Turns out both shut 4pm so will pencil in for next year!
-
• #13090
I would go for about 22g to 350ml. Aim for around 4:00 total brew time including draw-down to give you sn idea of grind size.

Finally got around to that Sumatran, Steve. Very, very tasty. Possibly a bit too easy to drink.

• #13092
Nice one!

Looking for some v60 filter advice. Are the unbleached filters thinner? It seems the filter time is about half or even less than the bleached ones. Even with a fine grind my coffee hardly brews at all before all the water has gone.
-
• #13094
Ach, that's a shame. They have a branch in Yeovil too if you're ever down that way (Finca that is)
-
• #13095
Currently drinking a cup made with bleached V60 official filters. Took about 5 minutes to fill.
Used unbleached originally but got pissed off with the extra Hipster Tax for them

Good to know. Back in Honiton and BTP nice brews despite it being rammed.
-
• #13097
My friend works in BTP honiton and she knows her stuff regarding coffee, trouble is that although she takes the time to dial in every morning, others don't bother
-
• #13098
Also good to know. Should consider being more vocal about brews that aren't up to scratch. Today's was good though.

We've waited all week for this...
