I am, because both bike were (quite rightly) made with 73 degrees seat angle, unfortunately this mean with the new position, the saddle is no longer safe to ride, and need to resort to a reverse Thomson setback post.

The Oak is getting replaced by the new Cycle in Motion 650b randonneur with a 74 degrees seat tube.

As for the NFE, I want to keep it, but the saddle is still too far forward even with reversed setback seatpost.

reverse layback post is a reason to sell full custom frame?

Bad news for those interested in this, good news for me.

It transpires I’m able to save this bike, because the fork is 395mm long, this mean I have room to fit a shorter fork on it and thus steepen the head and seat tube angle to 74 degrees instead of 73.

This time, it gonna be unicrown and 12mm thru axles.

The top tube is slightly sloped mean with the shorter fork, it will be nearly horizontal, also the bottom bracket will be lower, with the 60mm tyres, will be more or less the same drop as with the old 48mm tyres on the old fork.

Was gonna go for a straight fork but can’t use my existing front porteur rack with it, so it gonna be raked.

What was clearance like above the tyres/guards on the original fork? Will you have to go smaller on the new one to shorten it enough?

It is 395mm length which was a standard CX fork length for 700c, as this is originally build with 700c as well as 650b in mind.

This mean that even with 60mm tyres, there's a lots of clearance with the mudguard, which play into my advantage of simply shorten the fork enough to change the geometry, but not enough to need to change tyres sizes.
